Public Works Foreman Employer: RM of Lakeshore Location: Application Deadline: TBD

Job Description:

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Public Works Foreman plays an important role in providing value, quality, and satisfaction in the delivery of efficient and cost-effective delivery of Public Works Services by the Rural Municipality.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Several years of progressively responsible experience in all aspects of Public Works, with experience in a municipal environment an asset
  • A minimum of 2 years of management and/or supervisory experience is essential
  • Management experience in a unionized environment would be an operational asset
  • Demonstrated effective leader and problem solver with strong communication skills with extensive experience dealing with members of the public and various stakeholders in a professional and effective manner
  • Experience working with municipal Councils would be an asset
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a management team
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

An equivalent combination of education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.

This is a management position that offers a comprehensive salary and benefits package.
