Municipal Emergency Coordinator

Proposals are being accepted for a Municipal Emergency Coordinator (MEC), who will perform the following duties:

1. Coordinate the Emergency Preparedness Committee and recruit/ support individuals for
   committees
2. Annual review/ update the Emergency Preparedness Plan
3. Coordinate training/ testing of the Plan in conjunction with MB Emergency Measures and
   associated teams including volunteers and promote it locally
4. Liaise with Manitoba Emergency Organization

The MEC will benefit by good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

This individual must be self-motivated and comfortable reporting to and working with boards and provincial representatives.  Details of contract remuneration will be negotiated.

Proposals to include:

                      – Resume outlining related experience, qualifications

                      – Three (3) work-related references.

Proposal will be reviewed as early as November 30, 2022.
The contract will remain open until filled.
