The Rural Municipality of St. Laurent is inviting applications for the full-time position of Office Assistant. This is an entry level position with opportunity for growth and advancement.
Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Office Assistant will assist management in all aspects of daily operations. We are seeking an individual that possess a high level of skills in office procedures, communication with staff, council, and the public.
Within the selection process the following will be considered an asset: Certificate in Manitoba Municipal Administration (CMMA) or extensive experience in local government/public sector environment; willingness to enroll and complete courses within the CMMA Program as per the Employee By-law; a basic knowledge of federal, provincial and municipal legislation; computer and software (Microsoft 365 and municipal software) experience; and an individual who has excellent French language communication skills as well would be ideal. Training in each of these areas is available for the successful candidate.
The successful candidate can expect a salary reflective of their experience and qualifications and a benefit package upon completion of the mandatory probationary period.
