EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – CARTIER REGIONAL WATER CO-OP
The Cartier Regional Water Co-op is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director.
The Co-op is a state-of-the-art water treatment and distribution utility, staffed with some of the best operators in Manitoba. It operates in a complex environment, it is rapidly expanding, and it requires the services of an experienced, skilled and innovative leader.
The Co-op is owned by seven municipalities and operates west and north of the City of Winnipeg. It includes two water treatment plants, 10 water reservoirs, and a considerable distribution system. Providing water to the seven member municipalities and to two large prisons, the Co-op serves approximately 14,000 people. The two plants combined are capable of producing 210 litres per second of treated water, and expansion beyond this number is anticipated to commence within a few years.
Under the direction of the Manager, seven employees work in the two plants and across the distribution system. Water is drawn from the Assiniboine River, treated using a combination of ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis, and distributed to customers over nearly 200 kilometres of water lines.
Engineering and administrative support is provided by the Manitoba Water Services Board, augmented as required by consultants and our own staff.

It is expected that the Executive Director will work 2 days per week and generally work from home.
