In addition to supporting the Mayor and Council, the CAO also oversees the Office Assistant and works collaboratively with the Public Works Crew Leader and the Water Treatment Plant Operator.
The CAO position comes with the following responsibilities:
Interpretation and application of legislation.
Secure and manage the financial resources of the municipality.
Collect revenues and control expenditures of the municipality.
Keep accurate accounting records (MuniSoft).
Work with Elected Officials.
Manage Human Resources.
Interact with the public on a regular basis.
Perform office functions.

Preference will be given to applicants that are already in possession of a Certificate in Local Government Administration and a Standard Certificate issued by the Urban Board of Examiners or are otherwise willing to obtain these certifications in a timely manner.
