Roads Association (MGRA)
The Manitoba Good Roads Association (MGRA) was formed in 1909
to promote the development of roads in the Province of Manitoba.
True to the founders’ aim of promoting better roads
in Manitoba, the organization presents awards to recognize
achievement in road construction and maintenance, as well
as awards for community and individual home grounds beautification.
MGRA also provides an educational program for municipal maintenance
personnel.

organization advocating the positive relationship between
sustainable investment in infrastructure and quality of life,
the economy and the environment. The Association promotes

Safety, Health and Environment Program (SHEP).

The Manitoba Recreational Trail Association (MRTA) is a registered
non-profit charitable provincial association which exists

the development of the Trans Canada Trail in our province.

Under this program, effective April 1, 2010, companies that manufacture and market packaging and printed paper will take responsibility for and significantly share in the cost of recovering printed paper and packaging from Manitoba residences.

Development Institute (Brandon University)
Brandon University's Rural Development Institute, as a centre
for excellence in rural development, helps strengthen rural
communities both in Canada and internationally through research
and information on issues unique to rural areas.

Stewardship Manitoba
TSM is a not-for-profit agency created
to support tire retailers with a scrap tire management program
that was developed with input from industry, environmental
groups, municipalities, government and other stakeholders
and approved by the Minister of Conservation.
