Manager of Recreation
The Manager of Recreation is responsible for developing, coordinating and administering all projects, programs, the recreational hubs and master plans in Parks and Recreation Services. To manage the Canada Games Sportsplex facility and the delivery of services provided at the Sportsplex.
The Manager will be involved in the setting of long and short range plans, budgets, policies and staffing. Will maintain relationships with all other departments to ensure the alignment of all City services, required to achieve goals and project completion.
§ Grade 12, G.E.D. , or Mature High School Diploma;
§ Post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant field preferred.
§ Minimum of three (3) years experience in a progressive leadership position;
§ Experience working with collective agreements or corporate policies as asset;
§ Minimum of five (5) years experience in the division or similar operations;
§ Business and political acumen is an asset;
§ Knowledge and experience with community development practices is an asset;
§ Marketing and social media experience is an asset.
