Job Description:

With the assistance of HMC Management Inc, the Keystone Planning District (KPD), with its office located at the RM of Cornwallis, Manitoba Municipal Building, is seeking the services of a full time Development Services Coordinator to provide clerical, administrative and technical support to Building Inspector and the Board of Directors.

Job Description:
The incumbent shall have previous municipal land use planning related experience combined other post-secondary education related to planning, municipal government or office management and a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License. Basic knowledge and experience with planning and development legislative requirements would be beneficial in being successful in the position.

A high level of knowledge and understanding of the Manitoba Planning and Municipal Acts, strong written and organizational skills and the desire and willingness to be part of building a new organisation from the ground up, are essential for you to be considered.

Using your strong analytical and problem solving skills with all staff, customers, Municipal, Provincial and Federal authorities, in addition to auditing all permit applications for accuracy, compliance with legislation, policies, procedures and restrictions, and ensuring all applications comply with development plans, zoning by-laws, the Municipal Act, the Planning Act and any other appropriate Acts and Regulations, you will significantly assist the KPD Board to meet their legislative mandate.

Salary range per year for the position is $60,400 to $70,400.
