Leaders Don't Arrive
Presented by Randy Grieser, Founder and Chief Vision Officer, ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership
Being an effective leader requires us to be thoughtful and intentional about what we do and how we do it – it takes time and requires work. Taking the time to think about leadership may not get the attention it warrants, yet it is one of the most important things we can do to raise the performance of both ourselves and our organization. The biggest hindrance to leadership development is ego. As leaders, we need to be careful not to think too highly of ourselves. In fact, if we begin to think of ourselves as special or extraordinary, we will be ineffective leaders.
Drawing from his book, The Ordinary Leader: 10 Key Insights for Building and Leading a Thriving Organization, Randy Grieser, CEO of ACHIEVE, will share what he’s learned from his own leadership journey. This presentation will challenge you to think critically about your own approach to leadership, and you will develop unique insights that will strengthen your abilities as a leader.
