Currently serving his second term as Councillor for the RM of Woodlands, encouragement from other delegates combined with a strong interest in local government prompted King to run for a seat on the AMM board of Directors.

King operates a farm in his area and is the busy father of four sons – “all hockey players” - with wife Kim.

He was elected to the AMM Board in November, 2010.
